For the travel to JBEI: I pre-apologize here for the travel inconvenience. It takes around 30min by bike from UC Berkeley campus to JBEI. Ride safe!By F bus, actually it takes over 45min. Each F bus is 30min apart. Go to nextbus and find F bus to San Francisco, choose the bus stop, and it will give you real time information of when the bus will arrive.By LBNL Shuttle, JBEI-Potter Route. Takes about 25min: There are two relevant stops on UC Berkeley campus: 1. near Corey Hall; 2. at downtown berkeley bart. Go to nextbus and you will see the Potter Route LBNL shuttle. You just need to show your UCB student ID to get on the bus. In case the bus driver doesn't let you in, print this LBNL webpage out and show him.

JBEI is located at 5885 Hollis St. Emeryville, CA94608.
Everyone will receive a JBEI pamphlet folder, in which there will be more information about us.

Some special attention though:
1. Since JBEI is affiliated with both Department of Energy and LBNL, we will have to report your names as documented visitors. They will be included in the lab tour statistics which demonstrates JBEI's public education role.
2. Safety issues: since the safety regulation is quite high for the lab, please don't wear shorts or open toed shoes when you come. You will be restricted out of the lab if you happened to do so. It would be best if you wear long sleeves as well.
3. The parking lot underground is not open to public. There are only 2h street parking, so if two of you may volunteer to drive people around with car pool that would be the best solution. If we don't have two cars available, the left option is coming down by F bus (JBEI shuttle is currently only for LBNL members, you will get access to the shuttle services once you get in). I still encourage you guys to come as a group, since that will make the security checkin process much efficient.

Anyway, despite the strict regulations, I believe your JBEI tour would be interesting.
